SISTERS STARRY NIGHTS
Sisters Starry Nights was created in 1996, with its first concert in 1997, and has
been instrumental in raising funds for the Sisters Schools Foundation. Co-founded
by Jeri Fouts and Susan Arends, Starry Nights and its
dedicated community volunteers and supporters have netted more than $1 million
for Sisters schools through their concert series and special events,
including performances by Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Keb'
Mo', Kenny Loggins, Kim Carnes, Karla Bonoff, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Michael
McDonald, Kathy Mattea, Gary Morris, Suzy Bogguss, Hal Ketchum and Lee Ann
Womack. Equally importantly has been the involvement by these artists during
their visits with various Sisters School District programs, and the inclusion of
Sisters School District students in the artists’ concerts and presentations. Sisters
Starry Nights is a profound example of a community coming together for the
betterment of its students and its students’ experiences.
